Bond 23 on IMAX

We are big Bond fans. Wait, let's try that again... we are BIG James Bond 007 fans. How could you not be! Beautiful women, hot cars, the latest gadgets and a great story line (especially if you've read the books)... what else could you ask for? Ever since the next installment of the Daniel Craig starring Bond film was announced, our excitement has known no bounds. After Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, Bond returns to the big screen for the 23rd time with Skyfall. And this time, for the first time ever, it will be released on IMAX screens as well. This is great news and it also happens to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise. It would be safe to assume that expectations will run quite high for Bond 23.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise, the creators have released Bond 50, a collection of all the Bond films plus 130 hours of extra footage. Check out the trailer below:



Skyfall will be in IMAX cinemas simultaneously with the film’s international release on October 26, and in the US from November 9, 2012. The film releases in India on November 2, 2012. Check out the complete listing of release dates.

We were also wondering how cool would it be to see some of the action sequences from Bonds past on a huge screen like the IMAX... the opening parkour scene from Casino Royale or the opening Aston Martin chase scene from Quantum of Solace anyone? Or the numerous chase scenes from the films when Roger Moore was Bond? Wow. We plan to do a special on all the Bond films thus far as the release date gets closer. Stay tuned!
