Adrenaline Shot: Audi R8

The Audi R8 was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG's high performance division, quattro GmbH, and is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform. Workers fit about 5000 parts by hand to produce the R8 at the factory at Neckarsulm. The most powerful version of the R8 uses a 5.2 litre FSI engine based on the unit in the Lamborghini Gallardo, but is re-tuned to produce a power output of 518HP and 391lb ft torque. All this equates to a 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0 to 62.1MPH) time in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 317 kilometres per hour (197MPH). Check out the commercial for the R8 below:
