What do you get when you put EA and Criterion together?

If you are a fan of racing games, you know about Need for Speed. Nei, you have played Need for Speed, the most successful racing game franchise (ever!) by Electronic Arts... over and over again. And if you are a fan of mega crashes and explosions and insane gameplay, you have played the Burnout series and couldn't get enough of it. So now that Criterion is involved in the Need for Speed franchise, what do you get? The best of both worlds. That's right folks. Criterion Games is in charge of developing the next iteration in the NFS series, Need for Speed Most Wanted.

NFS Most Wanted is slated for release on October 30th, 2012 and based on the initial alpha release gameplay videos we have seen, it is going to be simply awesome. Gone is the limited drive around capability, now you will be able to drive anywhere, explore the world, hang out with your friends or toy with the cops. There is of course a great selection of cars, insane speed, spectacular crashes, amazing action and huge drifts. Just to give you an idea of what you are in for, check out the trailer for Need for Speed Most Wanted below:

Is it October yet!?
