Alluring Driving Routes: Sringeri to Kollur (Karnataka, India)

Our love of the road has led to explore several routes in the quest to determine some of the best and most scenic roads you can traverse. Our most recent trip led us from Sringeri to Kollur in the state of Karnataka, India. Check out the route we took in this 110 km (~69 miles) journey which by the way will take you a little over 2 hours. The part we were most interested in is on Karnataka State Highway 1, a windy stretch about 15 kms (~10 miles) long that will leave you speechless and take your breath away. With multiple hairpin turns and elevation drops of about 2 floors between each turn, it is hard not to be enticed and want to try and push the limit all the way from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Try not to push too hard since the road at places aren't exactly flat, and expect a bumpy ride along a few sections of the route. We tested out a Mahindra Xylo along this route and will post our impressions of the Xylo MUV in a separate article. But considering the route we found, we would love to give it another go in a more powerful and sporty ride! We also managed to take quite a few shots along the ride, do check them out.
