Has Salman finally got the perfect big screen character?

We have seen him play a romantic, a comedian, an action junkie, a spoiled brat among many others. He has had several fantastic roles in blockbusters such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Saajan, Partner, Andaaz Apna Apna to name a few. But not once have you seen him play a role like this. Combining his three biggest strengths as an actor, romance, comedy and action, Salman Khan has finally created a character that will be remembered for years to come.

Salman's role as Chulbul Pandey in his brother Sohail Khan's maiden production house venture has taken Bollywood by storm. It has broken every single box office record thus far and doesn't look like it is stopping any time soon. This film will make you want to watch it over and over and over again. The plot is not very complicated, but all the characters in the film are memorable. Sonakshi Sinha has found a great project to be introduced into Bollywood and she plays her role as a village belle to perfection. Every protagonist has to have an antagonist and to play one opposite Salman and share the same screen is no easy feat. Fortunately we have Sonu Sood acting opposite Salman and their on screen antics are priceless. Arbaaz Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Vinod Khanna complete the rest of the cast and their roles have also been played very well.

Shot in a village setting in Uttar Pradesh, the film has all the elements of a Robert Rodriguez film. Lots of explosions, witty banter and loads of action. The Bollywood comes in the form of catchy songs ('Munni' anyone?) and dances and a lot of family drama. It all ties together quite nicely. The project is a home production for Salman and family, and it shows. There are several spots during the course of the story where it looked like everyone was just having a good time making the film. And this infection also spreads to the audience and you feel light hearted once the film is over. We definitely recommend watching this flick.... multiple times!
